If you have lived with toenail fungus for any amount of time, there are likely a couple questions on your mind:
- How do I get rid of this crumbly, thick, yellowish terror?
- How do I keep it from spreading or getting worse?
These are both very excellent questions, and ones you are far from alone in asking. We have heard these from patients many times over the years. That’s why we have created a free downloadable guide, Fighting Toenail Fungus? Follow These Tips!, to provide a resource for anti-fungal warriors.
What Is Your Path to Clarity and Comfort?
Toenail fungus is one of the most stubborn nail ailments to act against. It pays to know all your options, especially if you have goals of clearing up your nails by a certain date (beach vacation, anyone?) or for a special reason.
Our guide fills you in on what’s out there in terms of fungal nail treatments—from the home remedies you might see making the rounds on Facebook to laser therapy we offer as an option right here at our practice.
We tell you what you can expect in general when trying home remedies, as well as what you can expect if you come to see one of our experts for anti-fungal care.
What Can You Do at Home to Fight Toenail Fungus?
Of course, treatment is not the only angle you need to consider when you have a bad case of toenail fungus. Any form of treatment can take time, so you need to effectively manage the infection within that period.
It is important to do what you can to help slow or stop the spread of the infection until it can be eradicated. This means preventing the fungus from spreading to other toenails, your fingernails, or even other parts of your body. Perhaps even more importantly, you want to prevent the off chance of the fungus being transmitted to a loved one, too!
